Wraith came to join my four Welsh Springers in August last year
and I have to say they were initially quite horrified by this
addition to the household and growled every time she even looked
at them.
Three settled down quite quickly, but not young Sparrow. I was
just beginning to get desperate about my snarling red and white
girl, when suddenly she decided perhaps she could play with this
new baby who was actually bigger than her ! They haven't stopped
since !
The Welsh have spent the winter teaching her to work hedges and
to recognise a pheasants call and she has worked out for herself
that if she hangs around outside the hedges the spaniels may well
bolt a rabbit for her.
She is a total joy to own and is much loved by all who are privileged
